This post is also available in: Croatian
Seventh Festival of independent culture, Unconquered Town is taking place there days in Karlovac. The festival is organized by Domachi, Association for creative development, and during the festival you can visit movie shows, exhibitions, workshops, performances, open air theatre shows and other events. Details on that are at Unconquered Town site.
Born and raised in Karlovac, I am very much interested in all of that, of course.
Handmade exhibition is one of festival’s events, this year it took place on Saturday, 23 Jun 2012. I participated in the exhibition both last and this year, as it is a wonderful opportunity to show my work, to spend time with other crafters, see their creations and buy handmade gifts. Plus, it takes place in a wonderful park in the centre of the town, under lush crowns of huge horse chestnut trees. Can it get any better?
How did it look like, you can see in the photos below.
Domachi – thank you for the opportunity! To everyone who exhibited and visited – thank you for great time and company. See you next summer!
Love,
Mare
When the town was built in 16th century, there were defense trenches around it. Today, they are parks!
There are four rivers in Karlovac, and of course a lot of frogs. Therefore a frog perches proudly in front of this park. Hello frog!
