Velvet and Satin Formal Handbags

It happens occasionally that I work on a bag, then just put it aside for a while. And then I start to work on something else. And than on something else again… So two weeks ago, trying to bring some order to current projects, I noticed that I’ve got three handbags in different phases of work:
One completed, I just needed to find and a chain as a handle and install it,
One for which I have just completed the embroidery, and I needed to sew the bag,
One that was just waiting for me to add an ornament to it.
It really was about the time that I complete them. There was the fourth bag as well – as an idea only at that point, I needed to start working on it and complete it over the weekend.
All of them formal, each one of them from beautiful rich fabric: two different velvets and satin. Colours: gentle red and colour of wine. Joy to the touch, joy to look at.
So I said… Procrastination begone! I moved them all to the kitchen table and started working. Until Sunday afternoon, all four formal handbags have been completed:
Satin wine colour purse, with roses and hand embroidered swirls,
Velvet red clutch bag decorated with rhinestones ornament and a tassel,
Velvet purse in the colour of wine, with roses and hand embroidered swirls,
And red velvet purse with hand embroidered bats. While the first three are already with my friends, their new owners, the bats are with me – they are mine!:)
